Trading Name: Andras B Horvath
Business Structure: Sole Trader
Governing Law: England and Wales

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all paid services provided by Andras B Horvath, including singing, guitar lessons, as well as acting group workshops (collectively, “Services”). Donations are voluntary contributions and are not covered under these Terms.

This agreement (“Agreement”) is made between:

Andras B Horvath (trading as a sole trader, “the Instructor”), with a business based in West London (W9), United Kingdom, and

the Student or Client (“the Client”), being the individual or legal entity booking or participating in any of the Instructor’s services, including lessons, workshops, or related educational offerings.

By booking or participating in any Services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Booking & Confirmation

  • Services are offered both in-person and online.

  • In-person lessons at the student’s location require manual confirmation due to travel considerations. Availability is subject to scheduling constraints, and we cannot guarantee a slot in every case.

  • Bookings can be made via the website or directly via email.

  • All bookings will be confirmed via email. Any instructions will follow in further emails.

2. Payment

  • Payments for paid Services must be made upfront and in full through the website.

  • Bank transfers are accepted for donations and in-home lessons, with instructions provided upon request.

  • Receipts are automatically issued for all transactions.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of a lesson or workshop.

  • Plans may only be cancelled up to 24 hours before the start of the first scheduled session within that plan.

  • Late or missed sessions: Every effort will be made to reschedule, but this cannot be guaranteed, and no refunds will be issued.

  • Refunds are provided in compliance with UK Consumer Rights and the 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases.

  • More information about cancellations and refunds can be found in our Refund Policy.

4. Student Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

  • Students are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during lessons and workshops.

  • Sessions may be immediately ended without refund if a student is disruptive, causes harm, or knowingly creates a nuisance to others or themselves.

  • The instructor reserves the right to refuse or terminate a lesson or workshop in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

    • Health and safety risks to the student, instructor or others (e.g., unsafe environment, contagious illness)

    • Violent, abusive, or threatening behaviour

    • Providing false information during booking that materially affects the service

    • Any other situation where the instructor reasonably considers continuing the session to be inappropriate or unsafe

5. Liability & Professional Results Disclaimer

  • Services are delivered professionally and with care, but participation is at your own risk. Andras B Horvath is not liable for personal injury or loss incurred during lessons or workshops, except where caused by negligence.

  • While the Services are designed to help you develop skills, no guarantee of professional results or success is provided. Progress depends on several factors, including individual effort, practice, and external opportunities.

6. Eligibility and Minors

  • Lessons and workshops are open to students of all ages; however, individuals under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to book or participate.

  • Bookings made on behalf of minors must be completed by, or with the express approval of, their parent or guardian, who shall remain responsible for the minor’s participation, conduct, and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

  • We reserve the right to request proof of consent where appropriate and to refuse or cancel any booking made without proper authorization.

  • Participation in regular acting group workshops is limited to individuals aged 18 and over. Workshops specifically designed for minors will be clearly identified as such and require the express consent of a parent or legal guardian prior to booking.

7. Instruments and Equipment

  • Students are responsible for bringing and maintaining their own instruments and any necessary accessories for all guitar lessons, whether in-person or online. Instruments are not provided by the instructor.

  • Any instruments or equipment brought to lessons or workshops remain the sole responsibility of the student at all times, including their care, maintenance, and insurance. The instructor does not accept liability for any loss, damage, or malfunction of instruments or personal property during or outside of a session.

  • Students are encouraged to ensure their instruments are in good working condition prior to each lesson to make the most of their learning experience.

8. Recording and Promotional Use

  • From time to time, group workshops may be recorded (audio and/or video) for promotional purposes. Recordings may be used across all promotional platforms and media, including but not limited to websites, social media, printed materials, and advertisements.

  • Participants will always be notified in advance when a session is being recorded. By taking part in a recorded group workshop, participants acknowledge and agree that their image, likeness, and/or voice may appear in such promotional materials. Participation in a recorded workshop constitutes consent to this use.

  • No private one-on-one lessons (whether online or in person) will be recorded for marketing or distribution purposes without explicit, separate consent.
